Abbie Ridenour

Abbie Ridenour is an experienced educational leader and parent of a TECA student. Ms. Ridenour has spent the last two decades serving in the field of education from high school history teacher, to instructional coach, to charter school founding principal, to district-level education administrator. She brings a passion for educational equity and an expertise in project based learning, whole child instruction, and systems-level innovation to her approach to educational leadership. Ms. Ridenour values community and student voice as a key component to improving educational access for all young people. She is an alumni of the Education Pioneer Fellowship where she was recently part of a national cohort leading systems-level COVID response efforts.

Abbie has lived in San Francisco for over a decade and currently works for San Francisco Unified School District leading the district’s Expanded Learning initiative within the Curriculum & Instruction department. She grew up in Salinas, CA and holds both a B.A. and a Masters in Education from UCLA as well as an administrative and teaching credential. In her free time you can find her visiting SF parks or museums with her family.
