Food Services

Good nutrition and academic success go hand in hand!

We are dedicated to our students' health, well-being, and their ability to learn, and we support academic success by providing healthy meal choices while promoting lifelong nutrition and fitness practices. Therefore, we are excited that we participate in the California Universal Meals Program

Delicious and Nutritious Meals

Revolution Foods provides all of the delicious meals we enjoy at TECA. We’re proud to say that Revolution Foods meals:

  • Are low in fat—including trans fats—and sugar
  • Use whole grains, fresh produce, and antibiotic-free, hormone-free meat
  • Feature hormone- and rBST-free milk

Universal Meals

For the 2023-24 school year, students are able to receive breakfast and lunch free of charge during each school day regardless of their free or reduced-price eligibility. Breakfast is available between 7:55am and 8:25am. Lunch is available according to the daily schedule.

Nutritional Excellence

We participate in the National School Lunch Program (NSLP). The NSLP is a federally assisted meal program that provides nutritionally balanced, low cost or free meals to qualifying students. The food and beverages we sell or serve on our campuses meet the state and federal requirements, which are based on the USDA Dietary Guidelines.

Wellness Policy

Local educational agencies (LEA) that participate in the National School Lunch Program (NSLP), and the School Breakfast Program (SBP), are required by federal law to establish a Local School Wellness Policy (LSWP) for all schools under its jurisdiction. LSWPs are an important tool for parents, LEAs, and school districts in promoting student wellness, preventing and reducing childhood obesity, and providing assurance that school meal nutrition guidelines meet the minimum federal school meal standards.

Meal Applications

All families must fill out a Free & Reduced Price Meal Application. We ask that you complete one at your earliest convenience if you have not already done so. Please note that all students will be offered breakfast and lunch free of cost regardless of their eligibility after having completed this form. By completing the Free & Reduced Price Meal Application, TECA is able to receive funds for our operations. This form can be scanned & emailed to [email protected] or mailed to the school’s main office 3531 22nd St. San Francisco, CA 94114, or dropped off in person. If you have any questions contact Monica Gomez at (415) 872-5239.
