Governance & Finance
The Governance and Compliance Committee ensures that the school is complying with state law and within the auspices of the charter. The committee keeps abreast of potential or actual litigation and ensures that the board follows bylaws.
The committee is also tasked with the development of the overall board to ensure the needs of the board are met. This includes evaluating the professional and personal backgrounds of board members through the recruitment and nominating process to create a diverse and inclusive board, preparing plans, conducting board evaluations, and reviewing board succession processes.
