Parent & Family Engagement

Volunteering—it really does take a village! We need your help to accomplish our goal of providing a great education to our students.

Research has shown that the attitudes, behavior, and achievement of children are enhanced when parents or other caregivers are involved in their children’s education. With so many ways to lend a hand, we’re sure you’ll find an area that you enjoy. Come on and jump right in—what are you waiting for?

Thomas Edison Charter Academy (the “LEA”) has adopted a parent and family engagement policy to promote learning and provide a more positive learning experience for the students of its schools.

Gifts in Kind

We gratefully accept donations of technology, equipment, furniture, books, supplies, and other items that are in good condition and relevant to our educational programs and mission. Our wish list contains an updated list of the items we need most critically—recently updated by our teachers. While we will be working our way through the list in fundraising, if you have any of the items on our list, please considering sharing with us.

Matching Gifts

Many employers will match your donation to TECA. Check with your company’s human resources department to see if they have, or are willing to start, a matching gifts program. If they do, please let us know at the time of your donation.

If you own a company and do not offer matching gifts to your employees, you may want to consider adding this benefit as an option to help support causes your employees care about.
