Does your school offer breakfast and lunch?

We operate an excellent nutrition program at TECA. Our cafeteria serves a free breakfast for all TECA students and lunch every school day for a reasonable price. We also participate in the federal free and reduced price lunch program for those who qualify. For more information or to apply for free/reduced meals, please see our Food Services page.

Do you enforce a dress code at TECA?

Students at TECA have a dress code of black or khaki bottoms (pants, shorts, skirts) and a white or gray collared shirt. Parents can purchase uniforms from Lands End with the TECA logo embroidered on, or they can purchase from the store of their choice. The PTA and parent liaison sell patches that parents can iron onto the shirts, but it is not a requirement.

My child is new to TECA. Is there somebody I can talk to for help with my many questions?

TECA’s parent liaison is available daily to provide resources for families in need. This person is also a great support for new families trying to navigate the waters at TECA. The parent liaison also organizes bi-weekly parent gatherings where school or outside speakers present on a topic requested by parents or identified as a community need.

You can drop off your child by car at the Chatanooga gate or at the base of the Dolores Stairs. We encourage parents to drop off/pick up transitional kindergarten through third-grade students at Chatanooga, and older, fourth through eighth-grade students on Dolores.
